PM Law staff have helped raise thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice in Sheffield after taking part in a charity challenge on Saturday.
A 12-strong team joined several other South Yorkshire businesses compete in an It’s a Knockout-style competition to raise vital funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice which offers care and support to children with a shortened life expectancy.
And the PM Law team’s competitive spirit quickly came out with the challenges including an inflatable hill climb race, throwing large inflatable doughnuts, and hurdling whilst carrying a pint of water on your head.
There was also a barmy bingo competition, a giants race and a relay involving team members pulling each other across a foamy runway.
The PM Law team finished a respectable sixth out of 29 teams and head of private client services Harvey Harding said it was a pleasure to take part.
“We’re always delighted to be involved in events which raise money for such good local causes like Bluebell Wood and it was great to see so many of the team give up their Saturday and take part,” he said.
“We had a fantastic day, the sun shone and everyone quickly got into the spirit of things and had lots of fun. To be part of an event which raised thousands of pounds in such a short space of time is tremendous and we’d love to be a part of it again next year.”
Team member Mark Chamberlain added: “It was a great day out. Everyone got into the spirit of it and threw themselves into the games.”
The money raised will help support more children across South Yorkshire with life-limiting illnesses, both in their homes and at the hospice’s base in North Anston, Sheffield.
