PM Law is taking part in St Luke’s Hospice’s Will Month to help raise vital funds for the charity.
Will Month is a partnership between St Luke’s and solicitors across Sheffield where a Will is drawn up in exchange for a suggested donation to the hospice.
The hospice, in Abbey Lane, Sheffield cares for people with incurable illnesses and relies on the generosity of its supporters to control symptoms, alleviate pain and give the best possible quality of life – free of charge.
As one of the participating solicitors, PM Law will draw up a basic Will for a suggested minimum donation of £55 for a single Will, £95 for a joint Will, £50 for a codicil.
This is significantly less than the normal cost with all money raised going to St Luke’s.
A hospice spokesman said: “Quite simply you will be getting great value for money while at the same time supporting St Luke’s patients.
“Make your donation to St Luke’s Hospice, and start to help Sheffield people who have life limiting illness to have a better quality of life, at a time when every day matters more than ever.”
Research by Will Aid shows that nearly 50 per cent of people mistakenly believe that their estate will automatically pass on to their partner when they die. This isn’t the case.
